This page explains the requirements for Eyefinity® EHR. These system requirements are routinely reviewed and updated.
The requirements outlined on this page represent the minimum hardware and system specifications required to effectively use the Eyefinity EHR. Failure to meet these requirements will noticeably degrade the performance of the software.
Ensure that you also meet the requirements for your practice managements software. For example, OfficeMate® users must also meet the system requirements specified on the OfficeMate System Requirements page.
Individual pieces of diagnostic equipment may have their own system requirements. Verify the requirements with your hardware vendor.
Use any of the following iPad® models running iPadOS 17.5 or later.
When acquiring a new iPad, you should always purchase the latest model to ensure the longest useful life. The models listed here represent all supported models. While you can install the latest iPadOS and Eyefinity EHR on the lowest models listed here, performance may suffer.
Printing from the iPad requires an AirPrint-capable printer. Refer to Apple's AirPrint Basics page for more information about AirPrint.
While Eyefinity EHR is designed to allow you to tap and swipe through patient encounters, you may occasionally need to supplement your visit notes with written annotations. For the best experience, Eyefinity recommends the following iPad keyboards:

Business-grade TWAIN compatible
Starting with Windows 10, Microsoft no longer includes native TWAIN drivers. Check with your scanner manufacturer for TWAIN-compatible drivers for your version of Windows.
Business-grade Internet connectivity is required. The following table shows the minimum and recommended bandwidth speeds. For the best experience, meet or exceed the recommended bandwidth speed.

To verify your practice’s bandwidth, go to Speakeasy Speed Test and select the city closest to you. If your bandwidth does not meet the minimum requirements for your practice type, contact your Internet service provider.
You will need a router to connect your iPad to the Internet wirelessly. Select a business-grade router and enable wireless security and encryption for HIPAA compliance. For the best experience, meet or exceed the optimum recommendation.
In addition, we recommend having a 4G LTE cellular hotspot available as a secondary Internet connection. While the cellular hotspot is useful in emergencies, you will notice dramatically slower performance, and it is not intended for daily use.
