Rancho Cordova, Calif. – Eyefinity®, a VSP Vision™ company, announced today the launch of three new add-on solutions for Eyefinity Encompass™—EncompassPay, EncompassMessage, and EncompassScribe.
Eye care professionals spend much of their day on administrative tasks instead of patient care. Unlike standalone point of sales solutions that create data silos, Eyefinity Encompass’ new integrated add-on solutions help put the focus back on time with patients and support an efficient, intuitive, and connected experience.

EncompassPay: Integrated Credit Card Payment Solution EncompassPay allows practices to take credit card payments and issue card refunds within Encompass, helping reduce checkout processing time. With this solution, practices can automatically record transactions in the patient ledger, eliminating double data entry, and reducing reconciliation errors. In addition to providing practices with a user-friendly dashboard and customizable reports, EncompassPay provides a transparent, fixed-rate fee structure with flexible patient checkout options, including tap-to-pay and digital wallets.
EncompassMessage: Real-Time Patient Communication EncompassMessage provides secure and reliable two-way messaging via text, voice, and email. With integrated appointment reminders that sync directly with the practice’s calendar and customizable messaging templates, EncompassMessage helps eye care professionals keep schedules full, and patients informed while maintaining consistency across communications. Practices can reduce patient no-shows, eliminate the friction of disconnected tools and reduce the operational strain caused by inefficient outreach.
EncompassScribe: AI-Powered Ambient Listening Tool for Eye Care In the coming months, providers will have the opportunity to leverage EncompassScribe which uses artificial intelligence (AI) to record clinical exam conversations (with patient consent), and input notes directly into Eyefinity Encompass. Trained specifically in optometric terminology and clinical workflows, the technology performs complex transcription tasks while allowing the opportunity for AI-generated notes to be reviewed and confirmed by the doctor before being finalized. By automating notetaking, EncompassScribe allows doctors to focus on patient relationships without sacrificing accuracy or compliance, possibly reducing documentation time.
All three of these add-ons are part of Eyefinity’s broader mission, which emphasizes scalable, integrated solutions that meet the evolving needs of modern eye care practices.
